Winsome  Expressions

After raising five kids and working as an instructor in a sheltered workshop for twenty three years I have now been free to pursue my heart's desire. For all of my life as far back as I can remember I have been in the process of making one thing or another.       Now I make one thing or another full time, the more I create the more ideas I have for creating, it just does not stop. With in this site I will be presenting some photos of my lovelies. So come on in and browse and feel free to absorb some of the spirit that goes into my work!

About these shirts       After washing the shirts to release any sizing that has been used I place them in a hot dryer.      Next I apply my own hand cut stencils to the shirt and airbrush with custom airbrush colors.       When the paint has dried I draw the strings and sound holes on my instruments. All shirts are heat treated in the hot dryer for 45- 60 minutes, and then treated to heat sealing with a press cloth and a very hot iron. The paints I use are acrylic. If you have ever accidently got acrylic paint on your clothing you know it is there forever. I still reccomend washing the shirts in warm water on a gentle cycle. The dryer is good for them.
